Please contact your hardware or operating system manufacturer or retailer if you encounter compatibility problems between EasyShare software and future hardware products or operating systems.

IMPORTANT Information

The minimum free disk space required is 200 MB. However, if you include more than a few hundred pictures in your EasyShare collection, you may need considerably more disk space depending on the size of your pictures.

Before creating your initial collection, make sure the pictures are located in your Users directory. If you move or delete the pictures, change the name or location of the folders in which the pictures are stored, or rename your hard drive after creating your collection, the link to your EasyShare collection will be broken.

You need the latest version of the Apple Safari browser to display Web-based information. To download the browser, go to www.apple.com.

To play an MPEG-4 video file, you need Apple QuickTime Player 6.0 or later. To play AAC files downloaded from the iTunes Music Store, you require QuickTime Player 6.4 or later. To download the player, go to www.apple.com.

For additional product support, see the following.

Setting Up Multiple Users

If your system is set up with multiple user accounts, you must configure EasyShare software for each user. For information, choose Help -> Kodak EasyShare Help, click About EasyShare Software and then click Multiple-User Systems.

Known Issues and Limitations

Using Apple iPhoto Export Plug-in. During installation an Export Plug-in is placed in the iPhoto application. This Plug-in is compatible only with iPhoto versions 1.1.1 and 2.0. To upgrade to iPhoto version 2.0, go to www.apple.com.

The iPhoto Library cannot be selected as a picture source during installation. For information on adding pictures to your collection from the iPhoto Library, choose Help -> Kodak EasyShare Help, click Using Your Collection, and then click Export Pictures from the iPhoto Application.

Pictures rotated in the iPhoto application do not retain their rotation when added to your EasyShare collection. To rotate the picture in EasyShare software, select the picture in My Collection and then click the Rotate icon.

Pictures exported to another Users directory are not automatically added to your collection. When exporting pictures, select a folder in your Users directory.

Copying files to the camera. You may experience a problem sending files (other than firmware files) to some Kodak cameras and communication with the camera may be lost. This problem may occur when

If you receive a message indicating communication with the camera has been lost, disconnect the camera and then reconnect it to your computer. For more information, visit our Web site at www.kodak.com/go/camerasupport.

Files copied to a write-enabled camera may not be immediately available in Preview mode. To refresh Preview mode, turn off the camera and then turn it on.

If the camera already has files with the same name, the wrong file may be tagged for after-transfer tasks (for example, printing or emailing). Before copying files to the camera, check the camera for files with the same name.

Using One Touch to Better Pictures feature when printing at home. This feature is available only on systems running Mac OS X 10.3 or later.

Working with tagged pictures. Disconnecting the device while transferring or working with tagged pictures (for example, printing or emailing) may cause EasyShare software to freeze. To interrupt an automatic task, use the Cancel option (Command — period) and then disconnect the device. If EasyShare software freezes, choose Apple -> Force Quit and then restart the application.

Burning a CD or DVD. Burn CD is available only on systems running Mac OS X 10.2.3 or later.

The Burn CD/DVD feature is qualified for use with Apple factory-installed CD-R, CD-RW, and SuperDrive model drives. Using other model drives may produce unexpected or undesirable results.

When using the Allow additional burns (multi-session) option, burn all CD/DVDs using the same drive.

The state of the drive tray (opened or closed) may not always be accurately represented in the Burn CD window. After inserting a CD or DVD, always wait for the drive to become ready before clicking Burn.

Deleting files. If you move files to the Trash when it is empty, the files may not immediately appear although they are in the Trash. This is a limitation of the Apple operating system.

Emailing files. Some proxy servers may not allow you to send email from EasyShare software.
